One of the most famous forts is Chittorgarh Fort and is one of the largest fortifications in India. It was built by Raja Udai Singh II, who ruled from 1567-72 AD.
5) The temples of Khajuraho (Tourist Places in India)
The temples of Khajuraho (located near the city of Khajuraho) are a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for their erotic sculptures. One of the temples, Kandariya Mahadeva, is the largest and most complete temple at the site. The carvings on its walls show scenes from Hindu mythology including one where Shiva dances with his consort Parvati and another where he battles with his demon son Andhakasura.

It also houses some incredible tourist sites such as the old fort on top of the hill, Patwon ki Haveli – an 18th-century mansion with a royal palace inside, and Chini ka Rauza – an octagonal monument built by Emperor Akbar as his own mausoleum.

The Sundarbans is one of our favorite tourist destinations because it’s so diverse. There are beaches and islands, but also mangrove forests, estuaries and other unique ecosystems. You can swim in the water and then head inland to see animals like spotted deer, king cobras, and pythons.
